Crescent School has lowered its flags to half-mast today in memory of the victims of yesterday’s tragic events on Yonge Street. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by this terrible incident.
Our funding priorities come from our Strategic Plan. Our focus is on strengthening the two key pillars of our School: our people and our place.
Here are some of the initiatives we will be implementing as we move forward:
We are expanding Crescent’s Student Financial Aid program so that we can continue to put a Crescent education within reach of exceptional young men who would not otherwise be able to afford it. When these boys bring their love of learning to Crescent, all our boys benefit from a more diverse educational experience that reflects a range of perspectives and experiences.
We are implementing an ongoing commitment to Health and Wellbeing. Our new Wellbeing project with Dr. Greg Wells ’89 focuses on mental and physical health, nutrition and sleep and strives to give our boys the cognitive and non-cognitive skills they need to thrive at Crescent and beyond. We are also expanding our Crescent Student Services to ensure that all aspects of our boys’ health – academic, social-emotional and physical – are nurtured and cared for.
We are developing a Master Campus Plan to ensure that all future capital projects are tied to a long-term vision for our School and our campus, so that Crescent will be as relevant 50 years from now as it is today.
