Meet our Headmaster
We live in a society that is volatile, complex, and in a constant state of flux.
There has never been a greater need for men of character who can step-up and positively influence our world. It is why I am sincerely thankful that you are considering Crescent School for your son.
Crescent's commitment to build Men of Character from Boys of Promise is a tradition that runs deep. For over a century, we have been dedicated to helping boys learn about who they are, how they can lead and begin to discover the legacy they can leave behind.
We are a school where character development is a responsibility that rests with every member of our community. It is a community that encourages our boys to expand their perspectives, be challenged in their beliefs, learn from each other and actively mature and grow.
Our teachers model good character each day and build strong relationships with their students, making sure that each of them feels known, cared for and has a sense of belonging. And we infuse character education into everything we do to ensure our students have the skills they need to thrive as men of character.
Lasting friendships and strong bonds are also an inherent part of the Crescent School experience. I can assure you that your son will graduate with an alumni brotherhood that will be with him for life and share his commitment to building a better world and creating a better society.

Headmaster
Meet Mike
Michael Fellin is Crescent School’s 10th Headmaster. He was appointed to this position in 2014.
Mr. Fellin began his teaching career at Neil McNeil High School in 2000, where he served for over 10 years as a teacher, chaplain, department head, and vice-principal. In 2009, Mr. Fellin was awarded a Premier’s Award for Teaching Excellence by the Province of Ontario’s Ministry of Education. He moved to Crescent in 2011 to assume the role of Assistant Head of Upper School.
Mr. Fellin serves on the Board of Trustees of the International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC), a nonprofit organization comprising member schools dedicated to enhancing the education, well-being, and development of boys worldwide, and on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS), a national network of member schools supporting collaborative initiatives in leadership, education, management, and governance. He also serves on the Board of the School Participatory Action Research Collaborative (SPARC), a research consortium of faculty and students in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
Mr. Fellin is a graduate of St. Michael’s College School in Toronto. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in English and Education from Glendon College at York University, a Master’s degree in Divinity from Regis College at the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in Theology and Education from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto, which he completed in 2023.
Michael and his wife, Heather, have three children: Fionn ’24, Cara, and Ava.
