Curriculum Highlights
Crescent School follows the overall and specific expectations of the Ontario Ministry of Education and then enriches each subject level to challenge our students. We achieve this through our unique character-infused education curriculum and our Character-in-Action co-curricular programs.

Here are some Lower School curriculum highlights:

  • Science of Reading – Informed Literacy with comprehensive assessment and evidence-based instruction that builds strong readers and writers.
  • Foundational Numeracy that develops confidence and fluency in number sense, operations, geometry, measurement, data, and financial literacy.
  • Experiential Science & Social Studies featuring hands-on inquiry, design thinking, and VEX Robotics to bring learning to life.
  • A Vibrant Arts Program that nurtures creativity, confidence, and self-expression through Music, Visual Arts, and Drama.
  • Daily Physical Activity that promotes healthy habits, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong love of movement
