Crescent Boys Enjoy First-Place Result at DECA Internationals

For the first time in Crescent’s history, two students on the Upper School Business Team won the top spot in their category at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC). Grade 12 students Keshiv Kaushal and Christian Gnam placed first in the “Overall Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making” category, which included a multiple-choice exam and presentations on marketing case studies.

The ICDC event, which took place in Atlanta in April, had 19,000 competitors from high schools around the world. Other Crescent students also enjoyed strong results at ICDC: Grade 12 student Ryan Cheng finished in the Top 10 of his category, and Grade 11 students Cory Gill & Kyle Chang finished in the Top 20 of their category.

The Crescent students qualified for ICDC based on their strong results at the DECA Provincial Competition held in Toronto in February.
