Honouring Remembrance Day at Crescent

With words and music, Crescent’s full-school Remembrance Day assembly on November 6 paid respect to those who fought for Canada’s peace and freedom. Major Lester Stanford, who was a WWII bomber pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was the guest of honour. Commander Fraser Boyes (brother of Dr. Sandra Boyes), Hon. Lt. Col. Don Cranston P'11, '16, and Ms. Martha Perry, Principal of St. Clement's School, were also special guests. The St. Clement's Upper School Chamber Choir performed with the Crescent School Men and Boys' Choir. After the assembly, the Grade 3 boys took part in a Crescent tradition: learning from faculty member Gord Wotherspoon about the school war memorial located in the Courtyard.
