Scott Jones Shares Empowering Message at Crescent

Crescent parents and Upper School boys heard an empowering message from Mr. Scott Jones when he visited Crescent earlier this month. Mr. Jones suffered a hateful attack in 2013 that left him paralyzed from the waist down. In response, he created Don’t BE Afraid, a campaign to eliminate homophobia and transphobia through honest conversation and creative expression. In addition to his presentations for parents and students at Crescent, Mr. Jones worked with the boys rehearsing for the Upper School production of The Lamarie Project. His visit to Crescent was made possible thanks to the generous endowment of the Noble-Marks Family.
