Crescent Heroes Celebrate Pride Week

Crescent held Pride Week from May 20–23 under the theme "Be a Hero" with emphasis on putting others before oneself, uplifting those around us, and championing inclusivity for all. Highlights include an incredible dance performance by our Prefect team to "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler, a visit to the Lower School by Christina Sorbara for a reading of her children’s book, Growing In Mamma's Tummy and In Mommy's Heart, and an impactful, large-scale flag made from colourful sticky notes. Each note contained messages by students, who selected one value (kindness, empathy, respect, or openness/optimism) and wrote down a way they could embody that value. The week closed with Friday’s Pride flag raising. The flag will remain up through the month of June to acknowledge Pride Month.
