What type of boy does Crescent School look for?

Dave Shaw, Director of Enrolment and Financial Aid, answers the question: "What type of boy does Crescent look for?”

Here is a summary of the video:

There isn’t just one type of Crescent boy.

We want boys who are curious, who are kind, who show that they are responsible and that they want to help others.

There are four traits we look for in boys who apply:
  1. Motivation – boys who are self-starters
  2. Confidence – boys who say “I can do it”
  3. Self-control – boys who manage their time and focus on what needs to be done
  4. A growth mindset – boys who say “That was good, but I can do better”
How do boys demonstrate these traits?
They are intellectually curious – they love to learn.
They are involved in clubs and teams – whether it’s arts, sports or other hobbies.
They are compassionate and respectful – to others and to themselves.

If your son is kind, responsible and enjoys school, we would love to meet him. Please visit us to learn more about what we offer.
