Experiential Learning at Middle School Day X

Experiential, exploration, expertise, excitement – those are some of the words that inspired Day X, Crescent School’s first project-based learning day for our Middle School boys.

On December 18, 2018, keynote speaker Fahad Meer launched Day X with wise career advice. Meer is a senior manager in the Assurance practice at PwC Canada. He told the boys that textbook learning is important but it is also important to talk to people in different careers to learn about the potential those careers can hold.

Then the boys split into groups for hands-on workshops led by guest facilitators representing a range of non-traditional careers. In each workshop, the boys worked together to complete a project and presented it to their classmates at the end of the day.
