Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Crescent School. Below you will find what you need to successfully apply to our school.
The application period for the 2018/2019 school year will begin on September 1, 2017. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2017. The application fee schedule is as follows:

$200 until October 31, 2017
$250 from November 1 to December 1, 2017
$300 for Late Application (after December 2, 2017)
 
Late applications will be considered after the February 23 Offer Day.

If this is your first time applying online, click New User registration to create an account. We recommend that you use your e-mail address as your User Name (i.e. myname@domain.com).

  • Applying to Grades 3 to 5


    Step 1:

    Complete the online application form. Your application will automatically save so you may exit and return to it at any time. A confirmation webpage will appear after your application is submitted and payment received. You will also receive a confirmation email.

    Step 2:
    You will find the link to book your interview in your application checklist. You will have access to your application checklist once you have completed the online application form and have submitted the application fee.

    The following materials must be uploaded through the application checklist by December 1, 2017:

    • Final/June 2016 and 2017 report cards plus most recent from current year
    • Passport or Birth Certificate
    • A recent headshot of the applicant
    • Teacher Reference Form

    Step 3:

    All boys applying to Grades 3-5 must attend an assessment morning at Crescent School on Saturday, January 20, 2018. The assessment includes a written test as well as individual seat work and group activities in the classroom and gymnasium. A snack (nut-free) is provided. Applicants are encouraged to wear athletic footwear.
  • Applying to Grade 6


    Step 1:

    Complete the online application form. Your application will automatically save so you may exit and return to it at any time. A confirmation webpage will appear after your application is submitted and payment received. You will also receive a confirmation email.

    Step 2:
    You will have access to your application checklist once you have completed the online application form and have submitted the application fee.

    The following materials must be uploaded through the application checklist by December 1, 2017:

    • Final/June 2016 and 2017 report cards plus most recent from current year
    • Passport or Birth Certificate
    • A recent headshot of the applicant
    • Teacher Reference Form
  • Applying to Grade 7

    Step 4:
    All applicants to Grades 7 to 12 must complete the Character Skills Snapshot (CSS), an online assessment, by December 10, 2017. You will receive the link in an email message within three weeks of submitting your application to Crescent.

    The Character Skills Snapshot measures eight essential character skills: resilience, open-mindedness, responsibility, teamwork, social awareness, self-control, intellectual curiosity and initiative.

    Step 5:
    All applicants to Grade 7 must attend an assessment morning at Crescent School on Saturday, January 20, 2018. The assessment includes a written test as well as individual seat work and group activities in the classroom and gymnasium. Register online at ssat.org and use the Crescent School test code #2667. The SSAT test must be written on or before January 14, 2018.
  • Applying to Grade 9


    Step 1:
