Lower School

Thank you for taking the opportunity to learn more about the Lower School at Crescent. You are investigating a school that is unique in its approach to, and outlook on, the education of boys.
Since 1913, Crescent School has embodied this mission. Walk by our Wall of Honour and you will see graduates who have represented their families, school and country with pride. Decorated war heroes, Olympic athletes and award-winning artists are represented on the Wall of Honour.

Our four core values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Compassion guide the boys in their day-to-day life at Crescent School. The boys are reminded of these values regularly and learn that these words resonate on a larger stage than the classroom, sports field, playground or hall. These values infuse every aspect of our Crescent School community.

Our boys of promise are guided by an exceptional faculty to discover more about their environment, their imagination, and their world beyond Crescent School. At Crescent, our boys learn by reflecting on their own learning, by investigating, by playing, by being creative and by understanding how building positive and meaningful relationships with friends and adults can enrich their lives. Every step of the way, our practice is informed by research from world-renowned experts and experts within our school. All of our programs support our boys in reaching their goals and discovering their limitless potential.

Men of Character from Boys of Promise is more than our Mission statement, it is our guiding principle, for “a man of character is principled, wise, resilient and engaged.” If you choose to join us at Crescent School, you will join a community committed to our mission, our vision and our boys.
