Canoe Provides Hands-On Learning

It might seem like an unusual school activity but 14 Crescent boys are building a canoe and carving paddles using traditional hand tools. In addition to woodcraft skills, the project incorporates math, physics and Canadian history, and teaches the boys the value of planning and perseverance.
