Crescent’s Canadian Maverick Adventure
Partnering with Vancouver Outdoor School, students will discover and appreciate the West Coast of Canada and the Yukon territory. The “Canadian Maverick Adventure” will highlight the importance of intertwining character building, leadership experiences, adventure and digging deep into Canada’s outdoor recreation activities. The itinerary is robust as it explores areas of the Sunshine Coast, paddling, camping, cross-country skiing, various Yukon wildlife and much more!
Highlights may include:
- Oceanside paddling adventure on the Sunshine Coast
- Visit a pristine estuary to learn about the important habitats of the Sechelt Inlet
- Full-day dog-sledding and snowshoeing adventure led by locals
- Experiment with glassblowing at Whitehorse’s famous Lumel Glassblowing Studio
- Stargaze and view the northern lights
- Guided cross-country skiing adventure along the Olympic circuit
This trip provides students with the opportunity to further enhance their outdoor education skills while completing an Adventurous Gold Journey accreditation through their Duke of Edinburgh.
