Summer Camps 2021

Summer Fun at Crescent

Following a difficult school year that largely took place online, campers were thrilled to take part in the fun and diverse programs offered last summer at Crescent Camps.

With both on-campus and virtual offerings, over 500 children ages 6 to 14 registered in a variety of camp activities. Program themes included arts & media, business & world affairs, curiosity, games, innovation & technology, and stories and language.

Thirteen different camp programs were offered on-campus – a novelty after schools were shut down on April 1 due to the pandemic. On-campus campers benefited from Crescent’s incredible outdoor facilities, including the low ropes course, the ravine, and the formal garden. In the virtual program, campers stayed very busy in a wide variety of activities from Model UN, Fun with Science and Comic Book Creation. Campers were able to enrol in multiple programs, offering them a broad and enriching experience.

Assistant Camp Director Matt Corolis applauded the camp’s Head Instructors and Counsellors, who he credited with creating an environment that prioritized health and safety measures, while providing participants with creative and intellectual outlets. Says Corolis, “Everyone brought their own life experiences to the table with the singular goal of providing amazing experiences for our campers.” Feedback from both campers and parents alike praised Crescent Camp’s  incredible staff. As one Crescent camper put it after their first day, “This is the most fun I’ve had all year!” Parents shared their positive feedback, with one saying “We can’t wait to sign our child up for every week next summer!”

In addition to camps, other Crescent summer programs were the Summer Academic Program for students in Grades 9 to 11, and Successful Starts, academic prep programs for new or returning students designed to set them up for success as they enter a new school year.

Registration for Summer 2022 camps opens in January.
