Spooktacular Halloween Celebrations at Crescent

Combining school spirit with spooky spirits, Crescent Parent Association (CPA) volunteers and Grade 12 students made sure that every Crescent student enjoyed a fang-tastic Halloween this year.
Combining school spirit with spooky spirits, Crescent Parent Association (CPA) volunteers and Grade 12 students made sure that every Crescent student enjoyed a fang-tastic Halloween this year.

The fun began on Monday, October 26, when students and staff arrived to find Crescent's campus festooned with Halloween decorations. Volunteers spent the weekend installing the decorations, which were loaned by Crescent families.

During the week, students in all grades brought in their jack-o-lanterns, adding to the Halloween decor. By Thursday, October 29, there were more than 50 entries for the pumpkin carving contest.

The celebrations continued on Friday, October 30 with a parade of decorated cars filling the parking lot at morning drop-off and creative costumes worn by students, teachers and staff. The Grade 3s performed their Ghostbusters dance, keeping the Grade 3 Halloween dance tradition alive. With lots of fun classroom activities and treat bags donated by the CPA, it was a spooktacular way to end the week.

Crescent's Halloween Food Drive was also a success, collecting urgently needed grocery items for local food banks.
