Campers Around The World Enjoy Crescent Summer Camps

Cooking, financial literacy, backyard adventures, coding, screenwriting, theatre arts and more: Crescent Camps offered a wide range of online programs this summer, enjoyed by campers around the world.

More than 280 campers participated in the Summer Camp programs, from their homes and cottages in Ontario, as well as from Quebec, western Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, Tokyo and the Middle East. One camp had campers participating from three different time zones.
There were 21 different online Crescent Camps over six-week period in June and July 2020, plus a no-fee "Get Moving @Crescent" program offering three daily 20-minute workouts for children and teens.

“Our wide range of camps offered in small time segments throughout the day gave families a lot of flexibility,” says Crescent Camps Director Donna MacKenzie. “Parents and campers could choose from a wide array of camp options, and also how much time they wanted to spend in camp in a given day or week.”

While Crescent Camps could not offer in-person programs due to COVID-19 precautions, it kept its commitment to providing a high-quality camp experience. All camps had a camper-to-staff ratio of 8:1 or better, and the staff included 13 Crescent School faculty members. The camp programs were designed to make the most of the online experience, with activities that allowed campers to interact and build friendships while exploring their interests and learning new things.
