Crescent Families Help Fight Hunger

More than 60 people from 23 Crescent School families participated in the school's first-ever Community Food Sort outreach event on October 19. The volunteers spent three hours at the Salvation Army warehouse sorting and packing food donations for distribution to other locations across the GTA. The group also pitched in to sort donated toys for the Salvation Army’s annual Toy Mountain campaign. Thank you to everyone who supported this event. The morning was a huge success, with opportunities to volunteer as well as meet new people within the Crescent community,” says Sheryl Murray, Crescent’s Director of Outreach. Crescent also continued its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive tradition, collecting 987 pounds of food for the Salvation Army.
