The Holland Family

“Supporting financial aid makes a significant difference in the lives of young people – both those receiving the financial assistance and those who learn alongside them."
Bill and Susanne Holland believe strongly in putting high-quality education within reach of deserving students. When their son Nick graduated from Crescent School in 2013, the Hollands created two needs-based scholarships that allow other boys to benefit from the Crescent experience too.

The Holland family joined the Crescent School community in 2009 when Nick enrolled in Grade 9. During his four years as a Crescent boy, Nick served as a Senior Mentor to his younger Crescent “brothers” and participated in many co-curricular activities, including volleyball and basketball. He is now studying commerce at Queen’s University.

Their support for student financial aid at Crescent School is just one example of the Holland family’s commitment to philanthropy. Bill and Susanne are known for their extraordinary donations to the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and the Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital, in addition to generous gifts to academic, cultural and health organizations.
