Starting in Grade 9, boys are assisted with course selection to help then acquire the right prerequisites for their university education.
Grade 10 students are introduced to the university world through the mandatory Careers class.
In Grade 11, the PSAT is mandatory for all students so that they can directly experience the standardized testing prepared by the College Board. This prepares them for other standardized testing that they are likely to encounter, such as SATs, AP exams and other professional school entrance tests like the LSAT, MCAT and GMAT. We also engage Grade 11 families in the post-secondary process through a series of questionnaires, workshops and personal interviews. This opens communication lines early between the School, students and parents.
In their graduating year, students work directly with their university counsellor to formulate the best application plan in the hopes of having a variety of excellent post-secondary choices.
And University Counselling arranges for university representatives from around the world to visit Crescent School each year.
