Crescent School's Spring Break Camps run from Monday, April 12 to Friday, April 16.


About Our Camps

Designed for an online format, our camps offer the same exceptional programming and staff as our in-person camps.

All camps are open to boys and girls from any school. Camp programs are from 1 to 2.5 hours each day, via Zoom. They can be mixed and matched to suit your family's schedule.

What campers need to participate:
  • Access to a computer, internet and Zoom
  • Campers and Parents must consent to our Code of Conduct and Student & Parent Responsible Use Guidelines for Remote Learning

  • Greek Mythology

    Highlights: When we think of myths, we think of legends and tales that seem to hold an incredible power over us. Thousands of years ago, the ancient Greeks told wonderful stories about their gods, goddesses, and magical creatures. Come join us in Greek Mythology Camp to learn about the magic, the power, the tragedies, and the exciting stories of the Greek gods.

  • Budding Architects

    Time: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    Instructor: Matthew Corolis

    Ages: 8-11 years old
    Camper:Instructor Ratio - 10:1
    Highlights: Imagining, designing, and building! This camp engages campers in the basic concepts of architecture, virtually, using items from around the house, and a supply list provided to campers and their parents. Campers will utilize their creativity, by drawing, designing, and building architectural models of their own design, while also learning about and implementing some of the world’s most famous architectural designs and   structures. From the Great Pyramids of Giza to the Burj Khalifa, campers will learn how some of the most amazing structures in history were built, and how they can utilize these techniques in their own work.

  • Chess Camp

    Time: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    Instructor: Nathan Beber
    Cost: $75
    Ages: 8-11 years old
    Camper:Instructor Ratio - 10:1
    Highlights: Learn your next move! This camp will allow for beginner and intermediate players to advance their skills. New strategies and techniques will be implemented as their skills progress. Campers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills through an online platform where they will compete against fellow campers. Fun camp games will be weaved into the program to create a fun and collaborative environment.

  • Introduction to Comic Book Creation

    Time: 9 - 10:30 a.m.
    Instructor: Matthew Corolis

    Ages: 8-11 years old
    Camper:Instructor Ratio - 10:1
    Highlights: Comic Book Creation! Students will explore the wide-ranging world of comic books through the styles of pop art, street art, comic strips, graphic novels and caricatures, as well as develop their own skills and creativity through a thoughtfully designed program. Activities will include developing a character, creating a setting, and storyboarding, culminating in a series of comics that will be unique to each student. Daily sessions will include skill development, a finished masterpiece, and time for sharing.

  • CSI: Crescent

    Time: 2:30 - 4 p.m.
    Instructor: TBA
    Cost: $112.50
    Ages: 10-12 years old
    Camper:Instructor Ratio - 10:1
    Highlights: Become a Super Sleuth! CSI: Crescent School Investigations will offer students the chance to go undercover by creating new identities and personas to solve several mysterious crimes. Students will work individually, as well as in groups, to undergo crime scene investigation training in order to become secret agents and successfully solve the mystery behind the crime scenes. Students will also have the opportunity to examine fingerprints, learn lying “tells,” create their own crime scene, as well as use their critical thinking skills in escape rooms and other fun and engaging activities.

  • Money Matters

    Highlights: Money matters! Campers will have fun while learning how money works and developing good financial habits, an essential life skill for independence and ambition. This camp engages young people in games and activities that make it fun to learn about money. Earning, spending, saving, borrowing, budgeting and banking will be covered in age-appropriate learning that will foster smart money habits and the ability to make informed financial decisions.

  • Minecraft for Beginners

    Time: 1 - 3:30 p.m.
    Instructor: Hassan Singer
    Cost: $225
    Ages: 10-14 years old
    Camper:Instructor Ratio - 5:1
    Highlights: Minecraft! Students will learn about basic concepts in design, coding, problem identification, and resolution while building teamwork and communication skills. By the end of the program, participants will be able to develop and build structures in their Minecraft world and take action in it. They will lay a foundation of computing and coding concepts and skills to use in any kind of computer programming they go on to do.

  • Strategy Board Games

    Highlights: Learn strategy while playing games! Develop critical thinking and strategy skills while playing classic board games. Each game, which may include Risk, Settlers of Catan, Scrabble and chess, will have a play and strategy lesson, as well as interactive feedback during play.
