STUDENT LIFE    STUDENT LEADERSHIP - OverviewHead Boy / Prefects - House System - Duke of Edinburgh

Prefects are grade 12 students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership potential and are therefore the delegated representatives of the student body and the Headmaster. They are elected to the position by their fellow students and peers and by the faculty of the school.

Prefect responsibilities include liaising with the Lower and Middle Schools, running assemblies, working with the school’s Global Outreach programme, and generally overseeing student life, including arts, social, academic and sports related opportunities. They function together with the Grade Reps, Senior Mentors and House Captains to help create a cohesive and effective Student Leadership programme at the school.

The Head Boy is usually a student who has achieved remarkable things in many aspects of school life in his time at Crescent. He is regarded as having the top leadership position at the school and his main duty is to oversee the Prefects and help with their portfolios.
