Wall of Honour—Brad Crombie
During his time at Crescent, Brad exercised his mind and body with equal diligence, becoming an Ontario Scholar, a Prefect, and the recipient of the William Blodgett Prize in English and the Corolis Spirit Commemorative.
It was at McGill University, where Brad earned a joint Honours BA in History and Politics and made the Dean's list while pursuing his MA in Modern German History, that the sport of rowing found him. Having previously never set foot in a scull, Brad was a Canadian University Champion in 1990, and in 1991 became a Canadian National Champion.
Brad's rowing accomplishments include a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, and he was an alternate for Canada at the 1996 Olympic Games. In 1998, Brad left for Cambridge University to complete a PhD in 19th Century German History. In 1999, Brad became the Cambridge University Boat Club's first Canadian President and helped the crew defeat Oxford in the annual boat race on the Thames, posting the second fastest time in the history of the race.
