Crescent is an outstanding community. The second I set foot in the door, I could feel the warmth and felt connected to people who had similar academic and social goals.
After graduating from Crescent, Neil Lumsden attended the University of Ottawa where he played on the school's football team for four years. In 1975, his final year, Neil was named MVP of the College Bowl game which he helped his team to win.
Neil's professional football career got off to a fast start in 1976 with the Toronto Argonauts, where he was an Eastern All-Star and was selected the Schenley Rookie of the Year in the Eastern Conference. He was traded to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1979 where he played one season before being traded to the Edmonton Eskimos in 1980. Neil has three Grey Cup rings from 1980, 1981 and 1982, and was selected as MVP in the 1981 Grey Cup game.
Since retiring from professional football in 1985, Neil has remained actively involved with the sport. Since 1993 he has been Vice President, Marketing & Sales for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
