DAVID HARLOCK - CLASS OF 1989

In his final year at Crescent, David was an Ontario Scholar, a Prefect and a member of the First Hockey and Soccer teams. He went on to the University of Michigan on a Hockey Scholarship. In his second year at Michigan, David was selected captain of the varsity hockey team - the first time in 45 years that a sophomore had been granted this honour. He served as captain for 3 years - the longest in hockey history at Michigan, and twice was the recipient of the Vic Heyliger Trophy for Outstanding Defenseman.

In 1990/1991, David was the first draft choice of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League. He was a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey Team that won the World Championship during the 1991/1992 season. The following year, he played for Team Canada in the Izvestia Tournament. In 1994, he played on the silver medal winning Team Canada at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.

January 17, 2002, Atlanta Thrashers has have placed defenseman David Harlock on non-roster waivers. Harlock, 30, has spent the past three seasons with the Thrashers, notching eight points (eight assists) and 116 penalty minutes in 128 games. He has one assist and a minus-six rating in 19 games this season after missing the first 17 games following hernia surgery.
