Crescent offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries, some based on financial need and others strictly merit-based.

Dentonia Scholarship

Dentonia Scholarships are available to new students entering grade 9, and are structured to provide financial aid to applicants who are mission appropriate and whose families qualify for financial support. There is no special application form required. Interested families may download the general application from our website, but should be sure to check the financial assistance box. Upon completion of the admissions process and submission of relevant financial information candidates will be reviewed for a Dentonia Scholarship. The Committee looks at the top 10 ranked applicants and reviews the financial aid status of these applicants. The amount of assistance ranges up to full tuition. Families are required to submit a financial statement each year so that the level of assistance can be altered if necessary to reflect changing circumstances.

Headmaster’s Merit Scholarships

The Headmaster’s Merit Scholarship Programme recognizes outstanding applicants to grades 7 and 9. Under this prestigious programme, ten scholarships are available each year and are offered on a one-time only basis to the top five new students entering grade 7 and the top five new students entering grade 9.  They are awarded on the basis of academic ability and co-curricular involvement and are for $2,500 each, which will be applied towards tuition. The Headmaster’s Merit Scholarship is not based on financial need. 

Bursaries for Financial Need

Crescent School offers bursary assistance to returning families on a limited basis.  Most bursaries are awarded to Upper School (grades 9-12) students, with infrequent exceptions being made for younger students. Bursaries are awarded for one year only. If assistance is required for a second year, a new application must be submitted.
