ACADEMICS

CURRICULUM

Lower School - Middle School - Upper School - Evaluation

Crescent follows - or exceeds - the expectations of the Ministry of Education for Ontario. Crescent School is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education and the Canadian Educational Standards Institute. Upon graduation, our students are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). There are more than 70 courses offered in the Upper School, each at the highest level (Open/Academic/University or University/College Preparation). In addition to the fine Ontario curriculum, we also offer courses that prepare students for thirteen Advanced Placement courses. Students who do well on their AP examinations can earn university credits or placement into second year. Ninety per cent of our 2007-08 graduation class has chosen to participate in the AP programme. Crescent School has worked hard to earn its reputation as a first-rate university feeder school. History has shown that Crescent students are extremely well prepared. The vast majority of our graduates win acceptance into the university of their first choice. The school guards this reputation jealously.
